I also thought The Hurt Locker was pretty good. Its purely fictional. No EOD I ever met acted like that. The Marine Corps is known for being a little gung-ho and high strung, these guys were the most laid back group of Marines I ever saw. I was very close to reenlisting into EOD while in Iraq, $40K bonus would have been tax free. But anyway, it was a good story.

Where we're the Marines in The Hurt Locker? That was an Army EOD team. I'm like you, it was purely fictional.

i liked all the b actors in this movie....those snipers on the 50 cal that both got shot.....and the Sgt. or Lt. that walked up and grilled the main character....he had a great little role...with his "thats hot" lines....acting like EOD was inhuman.....best scene of the movie...cause i kind of agree with your fictional comment.

For REALISM-

1. 84 Charlie MOPIC

2. Breaker Morant (I will always remember Rule 303)

Regarding Zulu- we actually taught the Defense of Roarke's Drift as a study in defensive tactics. The boys done good there.
