I see your ‘Das Boot’ and I raise you ‘The Enemy Below’ and ‘The Bedford Incident’.

I remember a movie with Frank Sinatra playing a business man on a trip to Germany who was manipulated into shooting someone. Anybody remember it? What was it called.

1 movie I would add to the list even though it is science fiction is Battle Los Angeles.
I definitely agree. War movies seem to attract some top notch producers and directors. Can't watch Black Hawk Down anymore. Wife got sick of me breaking stuff while I watched, and Patton is banned in my house (I was diagnosed PTSD and the bit where he slaps the "shell shock" guy infuriates me to no end( another story for later)).

Yep it is. And that Dr. Lady that got 'em effed up was HOT! Now that I think about it, I'd probably waver off course if she kissed me on the cheek, too. Lol

...Hamburger Hill was a old-one that had alot of blood in it...I havn't seen that movie in a long time...WW II movies are some of the best movies...Time Magazine has a DVD Special you can buy that has all the WW II footage live and not-shown before video, and would make a great X-MAS present...The price is something like $45.00 if I remember....

I think I'm going to have to try to watch Band of Brothers.
