Those straight 6ers had some SERIOUS mean torque. Was chatting with my bowyer today about this subject and he was telling about a guy that built one that was cranking 749 hp.

As much as I want to call BS, I believe it. Completely. The 300 straight 6 was one of the best Ford ever built. In fact, it's about the only 6 cylinder that has any place in a full size truck. The other that is good in a full size truck is build by Cummins.
