There are lots of eras past that I'd like to visit, but the only era I would like to live my life in is this one. We have all the benefits of eras past AND it is every bit as chaotic and insane as any other which provides wonderful entertainment.

The same thing that makes me mad when I do anything else: dealing with people who are oblivious to anyone and anything around them.

I'm with BKT, i prefer THIS era.

I have become partial to 20th century plumbing AND we have the internet!

Now is okay, although I wouldn't mind being twenty years younger. :o

Whenever you could buy or mail-order mil-surp guns for under $50.00.. :(:p

I dont know if I would want to live then, but its seems I like 1940's stuff.. I have a 40's Ford car and tractor, I like WWII gear and guns, most of my hiking and camping gear is WWII surplus... 60+ years old and still lasts longer than most the new crap... It seems things were made so much better (simpler) back then...

I've often wished I could back the clock up to my HS years knowing what I know now.
If nothing else, I'd skip meeting my first wife. :D
As for other eras, there are some I wouldn't mind visiting, but I don't believe I'd want to stay permanantly.

I'm with the group on this one. Today is just fine.

Although if there's an era coming when I can buy a pistol and not have to say "mother may I?" to the judge who issued my permit, I'll vote for that one.

I would like to vist the 1870s for a week, but not stay there, i like guys with the wild west mustaches (or 1970s porno, same thing) and i think the coolest guns are from that era, single action revolvers/30-30 lever actions/sawed off dbl barrel coach guns/etc. would like to attend one of those "cowboy shoots" sometime,

The 1870's and 1880's. Some of the most iconic firearms in American history came out in those two periods; The Colt Single Action Army, Winchester 1873, Springfield Trapdoor, Winchester 1886, Sharps 1874, Coach Guns, you name it. There's something very special and almost romantic about those firearms and cartridges like the .45 Colt, 45-70 Government, 44-40 WCF, and the Sharps cartridges.
