We have been incredibly fortunate. We have only had a couple call outs for rescuing rescuers and both times we were successful. I atribute that to good training on our part and less than good training on the part of the would be rescuers. We also have a great team of folks who live and breathe what they do. Each one are volunteers and are incredibly dedicated. We have however been utilized to do SAR and that means we get called to neighboring districts. A lot of the time by the time we get there SAR means search and recovery.
There is nothing in the world as great as going into a dangerous situation with confidence in the guy to your left and to your right and coming out victorious!! God I love my team!
I encourage everyone that has the oppertunity to join their local volunteer fire or EMS, they can use the help and it gives you a sense of pride to give back to the community.

My username is about those damn barrel shrouds. For those of you that dont know they are very dangerous devices that gangsters put on their guns. Its a shoulder thing that goes up and it makes the gun much more dangerous.

And the avatar is a picture of my truck i took at work.
