Why? Because when the Focus I owned prior to it got stuck in the parking lot at work, it had to go. 10 inches of snow fell that day. There's more to life than good gas mileage. Plus it's big & comfy, with good power.
A co-worker traded her Focus last winter when it snowed heavy here and she got out of her shoveled driveway but couldn't move on the unplowed streets. Because we HAVE to get to work (I work in a hospital and we have to show up because the patients can't usually take care of themselves.
) she called the police to drive her to work. They do that for us willingly in severe snow storms.

My dream car.........a Subaru Outback. I want one soooo bad. Maybe my next car. Forester is a little bigger than what I want. I love the look of the Outback. I owned a Subaru many many years ago and I absolutely loved that car.
What I am currently driving. A gold 2001 Honda Accord that I like very much. It's a manual transmission, which is hard to find in an Accord. When I was shopping for a new (used) car the salesman said "We have this Accord. Oh, wait, it's a manual and you probably don't want that." My eyes lit up, I took it for a spin, had my son (who works claims for an insurance agency) check the history of the car and the reputation of the car and he said "Buy it". I got such a good deal my son said if I totalled it on the way home, I would get more from the insurance company than what I just paid for it.
I LOVE MY HONDA.
Worst car I ever owned......a Renault. I owned it for 6 months before I dumped it off on someone else. You had to tap the solenoid with a hammer before it would start. I hated that car. It looked awesome but wasn't any good if you had to go somewhere. LOL
