My job title is tool and die. I work in a union automotive steel stamping plant. I work on stamping dies, automation, making new die parts from print, hardening steel, quality control, weld fab, and tool steel, aluminium, and brass/ bronze weld repair. It can be pretty interesting at times, and I get to use my head compared to production positions.

I am a retired mechanic, did that for 20 years. Now I am a farmer, tree crops and local honeybees. I need some more income though. I drove trucks when I worked on the racing teams.

Been a coal miner most my life. Have worked at Coca-Cola as special events and advertising man. Started when I was 12 years old working summers taking care of the county fairs for coke. We served 4 counties, so that was only 4 weeks of work. But I got about 72 hours a week and made $2 an hour. Started working after school too at 16.

Then other jobs before and in between mines. Worked at paper mill, hydraulic repair, Deputy Jailer, car salesman each one of these were less than a year.

Also did some non paid as a member of Civil Defense, and Sheriffs aux.

In the mines I was an underground mechanic, then moved outside as a warehouse clerk. Within 10 months moved up to supervisor and eventually made warehouse manager. Since then I have been warehouse manager for 4 different coal companies. The coal company I am with now I have set up 3 warehouses at three of their underground mines and am currently managing the last one I set up. We have more underground mines opening soon,
