Respect the Father's wishes. How old is the young lady? I had some pretty strict rules for my daughter (and sons) when they were under 16. By respecting the Father's wishes you are earning his trust. Interact with her at school as best you can. That's about all you can do for now.

Perhaps you have a chat with dad and state your intentions to just be friends, or as winds said respect the boundaries.

Dont piss off Dad. How old is this girl? Is it possible to hang out as a group with other kids?

Try to become friend with the father, or at least try to get to know each other. If he sees that your a good kid, he might change his mind, or at least be more likely to change it later on down the road.

A little lawn work, or ask his advice on things.

Remember that he was 14 once upon a time.
