Default What brought you to FTF?

Title pretty much says it all. What brought you to FTF? Also, what made you decide that this is where you wanted to stay?

Guess I'll go first.

I was looking up information on my 1st and 2nd pattern 1916 Spanish Short Rifles, and ran across a couple threads on them. Decided to check out some other threads in the C&R forum, then took a look around over the next few days. Liked what I saw, and signed up.

What keeps me here is the folks that are also here, agree or disagree. I've had some great conversations, LMAO more than once, shed a few tears of joy and sorrow, and lost track of the number of times I have had to clean beverages off my computer screen. Good, bad, or ugly, we are here for each other, and that's why I stick around.

So. What about the rest of you?

Old habits are hard to break.

I'm still trying to find out exactly where that terrible boat accident took place.

The 1911 forum was pretty good so had some fun with that for awhile till Canebrake left. Know it is pretty much dead. I'm a 1911 fanboy for sure. The food thread was fun but very few post pics so that kinda kills that. Still a good site though. Lots of good people here.

There is no other answer than
Canebrakes 1911 posts

I miss him.

I was trying to find 1911 tips and hints... This FTF site was a big (result) hit.

Why do I stay? A great bunch, old habits and my ability to participate with a minimum of meaningful posts.

Was looking for info on a Star model 30m 9mm, found FTF, looked around for a day or two on here and liked it enough to jump right in as a supporting member and have no regrets about it. Really enjoy the folks on here as well as all the info, knowledge and even the B.S.

My wife gave me an iPad for Christmas a few years back. I typed firearms in the App Store and here I am. I stay because this is dango's home.
I miss hockalouis. I stole his avatar once to irritate him. He was a worthy adversary.

This was posted by me on 10/28/2013:
I'm new at this forum but have my fingers in 4 other forums regarding firearms.
http://www.xdforum.com/forum/

http://www.springfieldforum.com/

http://www.rugertalk.com/forum/

http://www.marlinforum.com/
and it was one of those that some one here gave me a nudge, I came, I saw, I set up camp, and decided to set down roots. Why? Because you guys tolerate folks like me.
