USMC here. Did 6 years at Camp Pendleton, 3 years at MCAS Miramar, 1.5 years at 29 Palms and coming up on 3 years at MCLB Albany. Got orders back to Pendleton this summer.

I quoted Jester because I sailed to Iraq for OIF 1 and sailing next to our LPD was a no kidding Coast Guard Cutter as part of our ARG. Sounds to me like sailing to war would qualify you as military bud.

I never served wanted to serve big mistake on my part, we can not do enough in my mind for those who serve they make the biggest sacrifice while bureaucrats send you off to places to "free" them

Air Force, 21 years retired in 1981. Started as a recip engine mech, played with bombs and such in Thailand, then became an engineer on C-130A- E aircraft and ended my career in the Titan missile field. Enjoyed every minute, well almost.

US Army Air Force until they took away our brown suits and gave us blue ones, 47-50. NYANG 50-54. Great fun for a young guy, electronics school (Keesler Field) started me on life long career as electrical engineer.
