i am considering buying a berkey style water filter for everyday use in my home . while searching this item i also found one named - AquaRaintm Gravity Water Filter. anybody have any info on or preferance between these two filters or perhaps know of one that is similar ? the aqua rain is made in usa(texas ) while the berkey is british . the aquarain is a little cheaper but i am not looking to save a few pennies . i want a good product ......the aqua claims to remove finer particulate .....

My family has the AquaRain and we love it. We have had it for........geez I wanna say 13 years? Only thing we ever do is replace the water filters every so often...I think THINK that they say ever 10,000 gallons? Maybe too much but we hardly ever fiddle with it at all. Though we have pretty good water here to begin with in CO, but it does make a difference.
