When I make this point to liberals they don't seem to get it, but then again if you look at their other views, seems as if facts can't penetrate their thick skulls

Over the years I have come to the conclusion facts, reason and logic
do not work with the true liberal, because they do not use reason or
logic but rather they "feel" their way through life. By that I mean,
they follow their emotions. Every decision is an emotional decision
and facts or logic play no roll in it.

With gun violence, they cannot in their rose colored world ever
concieve that a person would be an evil vile entity. So therefore they
have to transfer that evilness to the object, in the case of gun violence
it gets transferred to the gun.

Just remember that this is an emotional response not a logical response.

They vote the same way, look at the nice well spoken black man versus
that guy who looks like my banker/boss/lawyer etc. Gee I will vote for
the black man because we had black slaves in this country, we whites are
evil and I feel bad for the poor down trodden blacks...

In other words, they're a bunch of kids that never grew up.

I'm curious about the article as well. Also, I haven't seen her post here on FTF in a while.

She's really active on Facebook - if I remember correctly, she's been taking a break from writing for a while - I know she said she's still writing something...i'll drop her a message and see if she can give an update

Hi Tiffany, by now I am sure that you have accumulated enough "Ammo" to write your article, however, I just want to add my two cents.
I am tired of those people who try to impose their beliefs on others. I live in Maryland which already has some of the most draconian gun laws but is now proposing legislation similar to the Feinstein AWB bill.
In this socialist state current law restricts magazine capacities to twenty rounds, requires two shell cases fired by the manufacturer to be supplied on a new firearm, requires a 7 day waiting period to get a "Not Denied" determination from the MSP, requires a 30 day wait period on the purchase multiple firearms, requires that any firearm being purchased be on the approved MSP firearm roster and requires that any gun being purchased be locked with an approved lock internal to the gun before it can be released from the store doing the transfer.
If you want to carry your gun outside of your home you have to be "connected", be a divorce attorney or an LEO to be approved. This is a may issue state as opposed to a shall issue state. If this proposed legislation is passed Maryland will lose another taxpaying citizen to Virginia.
I am very passionate about my RIGHT to own and carry firearms. Any individual or business that seeks to restrict or to do away with that right will not get my business.
As far as the reason for the recent gun violence shown in the press, my opinion is that: More attention is being paid to these instances by the press, because of the increased attention paid to these incidents, there are copycats.
In life you will not stop violence. If guns did not exist those "nut jobs" carrying out these crimes would be using their cars to plow down people, using other weapons such as knives, clubs or other means.
I thank you for your attention to these issues in your coverage of these current events. You are unique in the world of journalism and you have my full support.
I am a 65 year old widower with three children ages 34 -40. I took the oath of office when I joined the Navy in 1968 swearing that I would uphold the Constitution. As far as I am concerned, that oath does not expire. Why do our current elected officials dishonor this fundamental document?

Talked to her this morning on Facebook, here's her response for those who are interested:

Quote:
Hey there! Sorry for the delay. My husband deployed to Afghanistan, so things have been crazy. I've moved into a new apartment and haven't had time to write much. My editor has requested I complete an article on Rand Paul first, then I can write my piece on increasing discrimination/misunderstanding of firearm owners, which was a passion project. Would you mind updating the gentleman on that thread? I can't access it from work. I would be very appreciative.
