It does not stop Walmart employees from calling their friends before it goes on the shelf. The .22 Ammo showing up at gun shows for $100 bucks a box looks very Walmart.

Look at the average Wal-Mart customer, do we really want Wal-Mart selling them ammo at 1am anyway?

It would seem the slowest selling items at Walmart is soap and new underwear.

Hell they probably don't have anyone on duty in sporting goods to open the locker.

Rather than boycott Walmart over such a minor matter, I would email the company to ask what the reason is for this ammo sales policy . Here's the link : https://corporate.walmart.com/contact-us/store-corporate-feedback

By contrast : K-Mart thumbed its nose at us when Rosie O'Donnell was their spokesperson . Walmart caved in to HCI and stopped displaying handguns long ago . Field & Stream is owned by Times Mirror of England and does nothing I know of for gun rights . Jim Zumbo trashed the AR-15 in his blog and paid dearly for it . These are more serious matters .

And when i Questioned them about it, the Mgr. of sporting goods swore to me up and down that it wasn't happening, but my Friend who works there (and is a solid guy) told me on the side that one person working there does exactly that, because they "tip" him handsomely to do so. My friend likes his job so I figure thats why he can't tell me who. Doesn't make it "right". Also doesn't make it right that one Pawn shop sells 100 CCI Mini Mags for $30 and one of the LGS's who also happens to do a busy Pawn business sells the same box(when he has em in stock) for $20, or the shop inside my Shooting Range selling 100 Winchester HP .22's for $13(More like a normal price)

I see that some of you think is is immoral to sell something scarce for whatever the traffic will bear . I wish Comcast felt that way !

One of the main reasons it's still scarce is because people keep buying it to resell it at a 200% markup.
