The Walmart here most ammo with exception of hand gun rounds are not locked up. Just walk over and pick up.

Well there's a reason for the rule..
If its really that big of an issue.. Which I doubt, go to bed and get up early and stop on the way in to work instead of the home..

This blind, senseless panic buying of ammo for NO other reason then flat out hoarding is why the average guy, like myself can never catch ammo in stock.. Oh, and the ppl buying solely for resale.. Until these two groups of morons and asses stop this nonsense, ammo will continue to be scarce and over priced..
If you know ppl who practice this BS, tell'm to stop it already..
It's shedding bad light on gun owners as a group..
I can elaborate if need be.. I sure hope not..

Yeah my lgs bought 6 100rd boxes of .40 from walmart at 32.99$ before tax and it's now on his shelf for 47$. I flat out told him I wouldn't buy any of it. I hate when someone buys it solely to resell. Leave it there at normal price for someone thats actually gonna shoot it rather than try to make a couple bucks. I hear you loud and clear though man, sick of this bs

I don't agree with it but at least it's an LGS and not some douche on Armslist or Gunbroker. He would charge a little less if he cared about his customers.

Our Walmart has been like that since last year or maybe even longer. Me and ZG ran into that sh!t last year.

And this is one of the reasons for empty shelves and sky rocketing prices.
