This thread should be stuck, along with these...

National WWII Memorial

Korean War Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C.

I'm a supporter of "The Wall". The organization is called the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.

They archive all the stuff that's left at the Wall. They are also responsible for the two traveling Walls that tour the Country. They bring programs into schools to teach kids about Vietnam as well.

It was started by a 'Nam combat vet, Jan Scruggs. It is a good organization. Go to the website and check it out for yourself.

Here's the link: VVMF

BTW, Jan Scruggs is quite the guy. He's the guy that started the whole thing.

Canebrake- thank you. One of my contractors, Gilbane, built the Wall. There are a couple of photo essay books out- nothing but photos of items left at the Wall, and a description of the item. Been there 3 times. Have too many friends on there.

Here is one of them- an OCS classmate. He and I were both commissioned at the ripe old age of 19. Two years ago, Mark was inducted into the US Army Ranger Hall of Fame- one of less than 100 since it was created. http://www.usmountainranger.org/memorial/2002/toschik.htm
