If a parent is picking up a report card to get a gift certificate, I highly doubt they'll take action if said report card is bad.

I grew up in base. They threaten to punish the parents of misbehaving kids. Tell a dad hell suffer a pay cut for his kids behavior... Yeah, I've seen some colossal ass whippings on post!!!

Hell, if they need to get paid to pick up the report card what assurance is there that they know how to read it let alone how to interpret what it means? (This is a serious question.)

This is the sick part about what is going through his head, maybe I'm the only one who picked up on it. He wants to "educate" the kids to understand that the state has their best interests at heart more than their own families, I can see where this could lead long term.

That's sure what it seems like and I can't say I'd blame the guy much. But it will be more heartache for his family if he did do it.

Wow!! I could see how someone would do that but.........that family has been torn apart in several different ways now. What a sad story, indeed.
