My wife and I ate at Subway on Tuesday. Her favorite cookie there is peanut butter. They no longer offer it because someone was given the wrong cookie and they were allergic to peanut butter.
By that logic wouldn't they have to remove every item from their menu?

Gives me an idea about flipping out over the sprouts. I never liked them. Not really the taste just the way they look. Maybe a liquor fueled, fake seizure can get them off the menu...and I could get some free sandwiches!

I worked with a guy who says he is allergic to peanuts. He can smell them if you walk into the shop with some in a bag. Some people are so badly allergic that they will go into shock and can die if peanuts (or whatever they are allergic to) have been prepared in the same kitchen. Very dangerous stuff. At the same time, if you are that allergic then you should be aware of the dangers and not be accepting a damned cookie unless you freaking know it is safe for you to eat! Hell, if I were that allergic I wouldn't let anybody else prepare my food.

My friend's teenage son is severely allergic to peanuts. He can be in the same room with them but he can't touch them nor could someone who's touched them touch him. He makes sure everyone knows of his severe allergy and he always carries an epi pen with him. He knows not to eat Chinese food and his dream is to eat a Snickers Bar. I feel sorry for him in that respect.

Yeah. I mean a Snickers bar? The kid needs to set his sights a little higher.

Seroulsy, allergies are nothing to be messed around with. My brother has a severe bee sting allergy. When he comes over to my place he brings 3 or 4 epi-pens just in case because I keep bees.

Acorns are a nut. Peanuts are NOT a nut- they are a legume. That seems to be the Latin word for bean.

Mother is not a nut, Idiot, perhaps.

You're right. A peanut is a legume.

But what does that have to do with "mother"?
