Ladies and gentlemen of the armed forces. You have done what most people wouldn't do. You dedicated several years of your lives, and made great sacrifices to protect this nation, and defend freedom. You risked life and limb to ensure that the citizens of this nation wouldn't have to worry about tyranny from abroad. And to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, you shall never be forgotten.

I both thank you, and salute you.

TEX, I love the Giant Minuteman, Thats Sweet! The longest standing force in the USA! Go Army National Guard!

I also thank those of you out there that have sacrificed your years, those of your loved ones and friends and neighbors to stand tall for those things we all most care about; Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Today and every day we owe those carrying the flag for us no less than the greatest support, the highest honors and the least amount of added tragedy possible for those ready at a moments notice to pay the ultimate price for freedom. God bless and protect all of our Veterans and their Loved ones.

Sometimes it seems like 100 years ago. Sometimes it's like yesterday.
