I'm at meps right now. I just took the DLAB and it was probably the worst test I've taken. I'll drop a deuce if I passed it.

Oh man. Good luck. I hate MEPS. The DLAB is a real a*s kicker. I've taken that thing three times. All three were voluntary. Even though I passed (just barely) the first time around.

If you don't pass it, don't sweat it man. It's not that big of a deal. The Army gives waivers for DLAB scores sometimes anyway. Even if you just barely pass it, it basically means the same thing as doing really really well.

MEPS itself isn't that bad. I was here last week for the asvab and physical an it went by quick. This time I only came for the DLAB and it's going pretty slow because I've just bee sitting and waiting for about 4 hours and I have 3 1/2 more to go.

I have no clue how I might have done. I'm still waiting to get my results. If I don't pass it they're not doing waivers anymore for the dlab so I'll have to pick a new job. It would suck but it's not the end of the world. I scored a 96 this time around on the asvab so my options are pretty open.

If you don't pass it my advice, if you really want this job, is to put everything on hold and wait. You should be able to retake the DLAB in six months.

And by the way, the best advice I can give you is to hold out for the job you think you really want. Don't settle for any job just because you want to get into the Army quickly and all that. It's not worth it. That's exactly what I did and I hated my first job, and subsequently my first four years were mostly bad for me.

Yeah I know that's the best thing to do. But it between staying here and working A crappy job until I qualify, or choosing the next job on my list and getting out and doing something.

What the hell is this DLAB of which you speak? I took several rounds of tests, a physical, height and weight, a basic physical fitness test, and showed some dude my nads and pucker hole.

Its the language capability test, to see if you'd be good at learning a foreign language

You were just a dumb grunt. You wouldn't have had any reason to know about it. Just go back to petting your rifle and everything will be ok. There there, good grunt. Good grunt...
