Default USA here I come!!!!

I am going to spend most of April in Texas. Both San Antonio (where my dad is stationed) and Houston (where my Brother lives). Been a long time since I was in the US. Any Texans have some sight seeing suggestions and places to dine? I am also going to see NASA for sure.

My parents are taking me to my first Cabela's. I need a good AR specific scope, which is not available over here. Plus, I will be looking for other goodies. I do need some more AK mags too. I am also going to buy my 70+ mother a handgun. Love to hear suggestions. I am thinking a small .38 caliber revolver.

Oh, what are the laws in regards to self-defense in Texas. I always research before visiting a "foreign country", but could use some Texan advice.

I will have internet, so I will not be gone like our wayward Anna.

A German in Texas! I am sure this will be a comedy....

Wilkommen Herr Jaeger. Texas is a pretty cool place. I'm sure your dad will show you The Alamo and River Walk.

Definitely the San Antonio Riverwalk (Which I work right off of), the Alamo(Ask about the basement), downtown is OK just don't buy any cowboy stuff there you can get hats and boots cheaper elsewhere in town, you can hike to the 4 Old Missions from the river they are beautiful. As for eating best entertainment is Dicks Restaurant on the river, Best Pizza (i'm from NY so I am a specialist) is Rays Pizzaria, best buffet style is the Golden Corral off of 35, best BBQ I have yet to find a bad one so pick any where you see smoke pouring out of the back, best burgers either Armadillos or Bigz. April 5-6th the Saxet gun show is in town I highly recommend checking for scopes there and deals on a gun for the mama.

My mom already said we are eating at the Golden Coral. Pizzeria also sounds real nice! Armadillos sounds just like the place I would like to eat. I will absolutely eat BBQ! A gun show! I have never been to an American gun show. I will be there for sure. Ummm..the basement? Sounds like an adventure. I am a avid hiker, so I will look into the 4 Old Missions. I will show this list to my family. Thanks!!!!!

And dicks restaurant they have dueling pianos comedy and the waitstaff treat you like crap(just jokingly) it's really fun sitting at large tables with all sorts of random people throwing stuff around and having a blast. True story there is actually a waiting list to get hired at dicks
