I served my Country all of my adult life, as most of you know. I have buried Service Members, I have notified families that their child will not becoming home. I will never interfere in a persons' 1st Amendment Rights except to voice my opinion of their actions. I do not approve of the flag being shown on here or anywhere upside down unless the area where the flag is flown is actually under attack. We all know that our Country is in distress and our words on this forum shows it and we are doing everything in our power to make it right.

Kudos to the OP for starting this thread!

I will say one more thing concerning the flag, I do not approve of it being worn as clothing and I damn sure do not approve of it being burned in protest by our citizens. There is a proper way to dispose of our flag and burning it in protest is NOT it.

I worked for a company owned by a Viet nam vet, it was mandatory that you had the US flag on your uniforms. [shirt sleeve].......He paid the cost of the uniforms........

I agree 100%. It seems to always be some filthy hick who wear the Flag as a piece of clothing (like a pair of shots on 4th of July or a jacket etc). They really don't understand they are disrespecting our Flag when they do this. I have several Flags in my house, one that I fly daily and one that has not been out of it's box since the day it draped on my fathers casket and few others that new in the package, all are treated with somber respect and I demand my kids and wife do the same.
