had to post this cause im really psyched about it. this christmas i received a1938 mosin nagant 91/30 from my brother. caught me totally off guard. it may be old and a little rough looking but the history behind it more than makes up for it. being somewhat new to firearms ownership and this being my first rifle, its a great starting point. cant wait to post some range reports.

me and my brother are looking to buy a couple of mosin's soon...where do you get your surplus ammo?

did a quick search and found tins (440 rds ea) for around $100 at natchezss.com and sportsmansguide.com. you have to be carful though because surplus ammo i believe uses primers that are corrosive to the barrel and other parts. you can use it but you gotta clean your rifle after every outing.
