I actually have one hell of a good, old school, chocolate chip cookie recipe in the family. It has never failed to impress.

Let me dig thru my recipe book and I'll post it up in The Bunker for you all to try if wish.

I get flattened choco-chip cookies too. I have been experimenting using honey instead of sugar and that just makes them flatter and crispier. They are good though!

I use the Nestle Toll House Cookie recipe on the back of the semi-sweet chocolate chip bag.

OK so sammich 1 Grilled Smoked bacon Gouda.

It came out good tasted really good. Cheese meltability was low it melted but didn't stay that way long. I love the earthy smoked flavor of the Gouda mixed with a hint of bacon. texture was a bit odd for a grilled cheese.

I would give this 3 out of 5 pig bellies. Needs another cheese to reach higher in the ranking.

As a base, it's the best recipe. I subtract a little sugar, but increase the vanilla a bit, and my cookies are favorites everywhere I go. I also do not use nuts. Nuts are blasphemy.

You will prefer the Blue Bonnet. As will those around you. One week signature bet. You can even LIE and say you liked the butter cookies better, but you'll never eat them with real butter again if given the choice.

I trust you on your word.
I am a 'real butter only' person. But I'm going to have to try Blue Bonnet. I am spending 5 days watching my granddaughter while my daughter is out of town in a couple weeks. My my little one and I can conduct this experiment and type a report here on FTF. Sound good? I could even have my sons and friends do a taste test. Waddya say? Would you guys agree to let me conduct this cookie experiment for you? You can still carry out your one week signature bet.

Thanks for this suggestion. I have not tried resting the dough. I don't think I'm over mixing.
