TX: Taping the Plano Police [video]

A cop investigates a reporter who is filming his traffic stop.

Wow, is he ever brave! Sat on the curb while filming to "blend in". So freaking what? Nearly ever traffic stop in the USA is already taped. Here in Texas the tapes are required by law to be retained for at least 90 days. We have not disposed of one in over 4 years. Now with the digital systems, we can archive them forever (much to the chagrin of the IT folks).

Almost all traffic stops are filmed now. I don't see what the problem is.

The guy taping the officer is just a jerk who was trying to instigate trouble. Those kinds of people get off by pushing the envelope as far as they can and then standing behind the constitution for protection.

What "questioning of authority" was the Boy Wonder up too?

Big deal, you went and filmed a cop during a routine stop. The police officer wasn't doing anything wrong, his dash cam most likely caught the whole thing PLUS the audio.

All we got from this tookshed was video of a cop doing his job and then telling toolshed to have a nice day sir.

I fail to see what GRAND STATEMENT he was making with that whole little experience...

lol

That guy was a total tool. I'm sure the LEO was laughing as he pulled away.

My utmost respect for the LEOs out there having to deal with this day after day after day.
