Default Traveling in US w/ gun

Would it take several gun licenses to carry a gun when vacationing across the USA?

Ok hi, I will be traveling through the US in a passenger car, not on an airplane.

Thanks

Have Gun Will Travel reads the card of a man.
A knight without armor in a savage land.
His fast gun for hire head's the calling wind.
A soldier of fotune is the man called Paladin.

Paladin, Paladin Where do you roam?

OTHER than being a law enforcement officer, there is no one concealed carry permit that is valid in all states. Concealed carry is regulated by state law, and each state is somewhat different.

Depends on what permit you have, and where you will be. And you did not share that with us. Shame on you.

Federal law does permit you to transport an UNLOADED firearm locked in the trunk under most circumstances.

It probably would also be a good idea to research reciprocity and gun laws in each state you will be driving through to get there, if you will be stopping to eat at restaurants, going shopping, staying at a motel, etc. What is legal for you in one state might be illegal as soon as you cross the line into the next one.
