DefaultTrading up

Well, I'm back after my mini hiatus. I have improved the number of my household by one, strapping young lad (Thank you. Thank you very much) Aside from the arrival of my new little tax deduction, I began an intriguing enterprise last week that began with a craigslist ad from a man with a brand new, in the box duo core laptop with all the high end specs (I won't go into details) looking to trade said laptop for an XBox 360.

So, I looked up the laptop and it was worth $1400. Easy math. $300 Xbox 360 with games and extras to make it worth about $400 for a laptop worth three times as much. After a thorough inspection of the laptop I made this epic trade.

Okay, I never really wanted a laptop and I really liked my Xbox, but I was a winner. A winner with a laptop I didn't want. Back to craigslist for me!

So I list the new laptop and get a bazillion offers of insanely stupid people offering massages, and low ball cash offers of $300 and the like, when the golden offer came through.

My unwanted laptop for two pistols, a Springfield Armory 1911A1 and a Baby Desert Eagle .40 cal (pics forthcoming). Can you did that? I'm sporting wood as I write this.

You must have my brother's luck. I could hunt all day for something like that and never find it, and he'd call me an hour later to tell me he traded a broken axe handle and a bag of pocket lint for it.

Good find and good deal!

Bah I hate that name. I'd rather call it a Jericho 941.

But good trade then my man. Polymer or fully metal?

I love the Jericho.

Yeah, that's the gun. And I agree about the name. It's the fully metal one. Not sure its true value, but it feels fantastic.

Are those hard to find? It needs a good re-bluing, but I felt pretty good about the trade.

Does it say Baby Eagle or Jericho 941 on it?

And yeah I hate the name because I get Deagle idiots who think it's cool because it has the eagle name in it....they tell me in a smaller Deagle....which it is not....was only named that for well to sell it more.

To me Jericho 941 is a cool name.

And it's the same gun Spike from Cowboy Bebop uses!

So basically an X-Box for two pistols. Kinda like a gun buyback program in reverse. Well done, sir.

Grazie. Just doing my small part to keep the 2A alive and well.... Wait, you just gave me an idea... Why don't we(firearmstalk) pool some dough and buy us a $hit ton of XBox 360s and go into America's ghettos and trade for guns. We'd be taking weapons out of the hood and putting them in the hands of law abiding Americans who love the 2A.
