Default Please, Accepts my Condolences

I had to do the same in January, and was heart-breaking. I'm so sorry. There's no words that can comfort you in moments like this, just know that you can count on you forum pals. Regards.

I must admit I'm more of a cat person myself, but had to put one down a few years ago and I was most certainly a heart-broken blubbering mess...my condolences...

I found it so painfull losing my dog that I just couldn't do it. For years I went without a dog for that reason. But not having that love was much worse then having and losing.

Now I always have two dogs. it still hurts as much to lose one, but having the second dog there seems to make the grief pass quicker.

He did, it was a full life too. He lived the life that other dogs dream about. He spent a lot of time going for Jeep rides, playing ball and getting scratched. Most of the warm season (April-Oct.) was spent at the lake.

It was only the past year or so that his joints started to bug him. He really only got sick about a week ago.

My wife knew it was about to happen, so she picked up another dog. He's a good dog. He plays with the babies well and is really protective of them. He guards the house well. He also has a strong pack instinct, which I love to see in dogs. The only downside is that he has all the personality of a rock and he's kind of a homebody.

This is Charlie. He seems to be an American Dingo, which is kind of cool, because American Dingoes were the stuff of crypto-zoologists up until the mid 1980s.
