Time flies
Well, my babygirl (17) just bought herself a car (2000 Ford Taurus). She saved up for every penny and paid for it all by herself. I just got back from her driver's test for her license. It seems like only a few years ago I was changing diapers. Even though she's an excellent driver (for her age) I'll still worry.

Bear, I don't have kids but I agree....time flies!
I'm glad to hear she saved up and bought it herself. I did the same and I learned what it takes to buy things and how to appreciate things. Put a speed limiter on that thing!!

Bear:
First off, congrats to you and your daughter - buying her first car is a major life milestone, especially given that she paid for it.
As far as worrying goes, you'll continue to do that for a long time yet!

I just had a thought....
Imagine yourself being the brave young man who wants to take bear's daughter on a date......you're too young to carry....the attraction is overwhelming but the fear is defening in your mind. You ring the doorbell and suddenly there is a large man with a 45 on his hip and the barrel of a shotgun in his hand(the rest is on the table behind him). My heart goes out to that young man and I wish him well.

I have daughters (granted, they're a few years younger), and I feel no compassion for that young man...at all...as a matter of fact, I hope he falls down and cuts his scrotum.
Sounds like a responsible young lady, Bear. Good job.
