Advice (200 years ago) from Lord Chesterfield to his son- "Be wiser than other men, but don't let them know it." unfortunately, still true today. Once met a woman who was convinced the US has wars because it has an Army. Her solution? No Army, no wars. Well, in a way, she is right. She failed to see it would also mean no more US. It has been said that there are lies, DAMNED lies, and Statistics. Have seen some of the stats on "shooting deaths of children" that have a problem- the total number is greater than the total number of deaths of ALL children from ALL accidents. Seems they included deaths from things like being shot during an armed robbery or armed assualt, and raised the age of a "child" to 26 years! For anyone that is interested, check the numbers (available from the National Safety Council) on the number of children that die each year from DROWNING. Surprised, huh? Just points out the need to pass some laws on private ownership of swiming pools. We need to set some limits on the depths, establish a waiting period for the purchase of bathing suits, outlaw those high capacity diving boards, and require government approval of your training as a lifeguard. I mean, it's not like anybody NEEDS a swimming pool, and it's for the safety of the children- and the constitution does not say you have a right to a swimming pool.

I had a somewhat intelligent discourse started , but I backspaced it .

These lefty folks KNOW IT ALL and ya can't tell'em different .
Compare them to Facists and they won't get that either.
All we can do is what our type has always done all through history ;
We will keep doin the work that needs to be done , and fighting the fights that must be fought.
I try not to get mad at these educated idjits ,, it'd be like gettin mad at an ol' cow fer gettin out ,, they just don't know no better .
