Awesome pics. Looks kind of creepy though. The factory is very cool looking.

Peters Cartridge Company opened its doors in 1899, and produced ammunition for several major American wars: the Civil War, World War I and World War II. Peters was the son-in-law of a man by the name of King. King had founded the King Powder Company, and invented an automatic cartridge machine as well as a smokeless powder. The invention was so successful that King ran one company, while he placed Peters in charge of the other.
Less than a year after the factory opened, an explosion rocked the area. Two train cars loaded with gunpowder collided, causing a massive explosion that killed 11 men instantly. A few other men died while in the hospital of injuries caused by the explosion. The explosion brought nationwide attention to the small area, and forced the company to rebuild portions of the factory.

The Peters Cartridge Company was officially sold to Remington during the 1930's. The Great Depression hit everyone hard, but particularly Peters. Remington continued to operate the Kings Mills location until halfway through WW II. The company was making more ammunition than the soldiers could use, and Remington decided to concentrate on his other factories, rather than waste time on the Ohio branch.

Columbia Records used the building for a short period of time, as a place to press their vinyl records. Once they decided to leave in the early 1950's though, no other offers came in and the building was left empty.

Today the building is used for a number of different things, including local businesses and a training ground for the Hamilton township SWAT department. Other portions of the property are closed off to the public. The building even became part of a movie when a horror movie was filmed on site.

Even before the movie began filming locals told stories of ghosts and hauntings. Following the filming, the stories grew even bigger. The film crew set up shop in 2002 and almost immediately claimed to see and hear some strange things. Some claimed to hear whispering when the room was empty, and others saw things move on their own. Others have claimed to hear footsteps inside the building when it is devoid of human life.

An interesting side note to this story is an event that happened in 2006. During a paintball tournament, a man fell through a ledge and came close to being impaled on sharp objects underneath him. Those who believe the Peters Cartridge Company is haunted show this as proof that the ghosts still want to keep everyone away.

The Peters Cartridge Company is located in Kings Mills, Ohio. It is closed to the public, and police and the owners do prosecute all trespassers.

There are a lot of pictures that look very similar to yours, do you take photos of stuff like this and sell them for use on the web. Anyways very cool pics always liked photography, just never good at it.
