Pissing on the Back 40 is one of my favorite countrytime perks! Sometimes if Im in a hurry, the front yard will do just fine! Im not quite in BOBSKI's Rural America but close enough. Nobody says anything about shooting the vermin off the deck and I love my well water! Even the Amish and Mennonites have started flocking here. Sometimes its less than easy but its still so much better than seeing the neighbors Windows from my windows! Besides, built up areas and cities in particular are generally in major modes of decline and likely wont ever be "The place to be" again!

There is big cities, big towns, towns, small towns, bedroom towns, big farms, farms, hobby farms, acreageages, out of town, no town, off the beaten path, and no path. Maybe a few more.
Currently my storefront business is on the main street, in a big town, and I live outside a bedroom town on an acreage.
My wife and I both work 100 hour weeks, paying the man. I am tired of it. Stop the merrygoround and let me off!
I am thinking a wide spot on a narrow highway, at least 100 miles from any box store. Low cost of living, and megar needs. Wood heat, grow or hunt what you eat. No tv no internet no newspaper no BS. Library card if the two bit town has a library, if not, ill pen my own books!
I think I would get really tired of that in about the half a lifetime I have left. Lol

Native Indians used to {occaisionaly) take grizzlies with bows and flint tipped arrows, later early pioneers used flintlocks. And later still percushion capped rifles.
