Sometimes I try to log on to a thread of interest but all I get is a message saying,"Access Denied". What's up with that?

Are you responding to threads in the Politics and Activism section?

You must be a Supporting Member to access that subforum. It's easy to become a SM. Just click on "My Account" and at the bottom of the drop down box, click on "Premium Membership".

As Winds-of-Change said, that section is for "Premium Members Only", you'll have to sign up for the Supporting Membership ($15/year) to post in that section. It use to have a minimum thread count requirement, but now it seems it's been changed to premium members only. It helps keep the number of people who sign up just to argue politics with gun owners down. If that's the way they want that particular forum to be, I would move it out of the public view like the Bunker. Of course if they did that it wouldn't entice anyone to sign up for the Supporting Membership status.

If you click on the Premium Members Only link just below the Politics, Religion and Controversy link you'll see some other perks the supporting members receive if you're interested.
