I agree with JD. It happened before about 40 years ago, happened again about 18 years ago and happens today. Policos tell us what to do and how to do it when we were trained to go and put an end to the enemy. They take away our training by telling us what not to do and how to do what they want us to do.

Tactiacal generals for me were Patton and Rommel.

I guess my point in mentioning Thomas Jefferson's run-ins with muslim terrorists, such as they were, is to point out the problem of some muslims believing they are superior to those who do not believe in islam is not a new phenomenon. It has been going on since about 622AD.

Certainly the Japanese, Germans and others have been hell-bent on bringing their will to bear on innocents. I'd rank the Japanese the highest for brutality and ruthlessness. But their WWII-era actions pale in comparison to a centuries-old politico-religious ideology.

Hey, skullcrusher-

Quote:
beau,

What's that organization you have going on there? I know this is off topic, but can you elaborate on your group? I'm interested.
Sorry for the lateness of my reply to this, but you caught me (earlier) right when I was leaving for work.

It is called S.Y.G.A.-Sell Your Garment Association, and my website (especially now, with some mods I did) pretty much explains it. But, since several others have also asked me (now) about it, I will post it in a new thread, to be more detailed, and to keep this one on-topic.

Thanks for asking-

In re: Gen. Pershing- in his biography, "Pipeclay and Drill", he reportedly THREATENED that if members of a village THAT HAD ENTERED INTO AN ARMISTICE AGRREMENT fired on American military, that they would be executed, wrapped in a pig's carcass, and buried. While this was not put into force, it did have the desired effect.

Oh- by the way, it also caused a protest back in the states. From the SPCA.

And I would still back John Mosby for small unit tactics and unconventional warfare.

I voted Patton.

And yes, we have fought this type of enemy before. They were called the VC.

I voted other. I believe an organization like Executive Outcomes or Executive Soilutions (PMC's) would fit the bill well with this terrorist situation.

They did a good job in Sierra Leone stomping the living shat out of the RUF (Revolutionary United Front) in the mid 1990's.
