its because he went agianst the grain and in alot of forums if you dont agree with the majority you get the boot. it happened to me and when they told me I was banned all the message said was "F**K OFF"

I feel like my point of reference may be misconstrued as chest thumping. I was really trying to express the seriousness I place on Memorial Day. I could have worded it differently and better.

You might as well get used to it. Madison Avenue has made a marketing opportunity of Christ's birthday and death day. Don't be surprised vets don't get any respect. The only thing holy to business is money.

IMHO Memorial Day is strickly to honor our fallen Heros.
BTW just as a point of reference - I flew 109 combat missions and 9 members of my squadron perished over North Vietnam and Laos. My father is buried at Jefferson Barracks.
A few hours later my posted reply went MIA.
Last night I was contacted via a personal message by a forum member (not the vendor) saying that my post was removed for not being in the spirit of the contest. "Inflamatory" was an adjective used by this member. We went back and forth a couple of times regarding their opinion vs. mine. All very respectful from my end.
Next thing I know I am being informed that I am forever banished from this forum.
Am I wrong for believing that Memorial Day is too sacred a holiday to be linked to a vendor contest?
Also, am I wrong to believe that forums should be open to respectful discourse?

EF. I agree with you 100%. Memorial Day is for those members of the military who gave their live in service of our country, and it should be a day of rememberence. Not a chance to peddle more goods to the public. You were kicked off the other site for respectfully speaking your mind, that is their loss, not yours or ours. I think most on here would honestly call it our gain.
We lost two of the boys from my area of NY over in the sand box last year. They will be in our hearts and on our minds this Memorial Day and many more to come. Thank you for your service, and for posting this.
