And, it's working.

Does anyone know how I can mount a katana to a 1911, and maintain the ergonomics?

Would the heat from the muzzle blast screw with the temper of the blade at all?

It's a real Hattori Hanzo that I got off of his website, and I don't want it FUBAR.

The Hanzo is a real tamahagane blade, forged from the true Black Sand of the Isle of Despair.

From the last blade test in Hack-n-Slash Quarterly they said the blade hardness was in EXCESS of 130 Rockwell.

That would put your HANZO well beyond the temperature of the 1300 or 1400 rounds you would expect to be putting downrange in any given firefight.

I believe Mick Strider makes an under the frame mount for blades up to 30" - But I think your Hanzo is probably a bit longer.

Perhaps custom??

I only carry 26 round pistol mags. And 50 of them is all I have pockets for. I need a new Ninja Gi....

And no, I haven't had to attack a Barbie Compound in quite awhile. But those freaking meter maids and their "Over 10 inches from the curb rule" just demand retaliation....
