Apple Apple Apple.. Purchasing an iPad air later this month. My work is internet based, CL, FB and eBay mostly. I already use the company iPad, this one will be my own.

I'm biased.. Ever since getting my first iPod I was sold.
Stable OS, stable apps, solid products. If it will do what you need it to do you can go wrong.

iPad or Surface RT is no competition. Definitely iPad. There is a major lack of RT apps and i used a tester for a month and was very disappointed with it. Endless updates and still major mag issues.

I have had an ipad2 since they were released. It still runs great and works like new with the latest OS version. I want a new iPad air next year. My new wife hogs the iPad a bit too much for my liking lol.

AHAaaa! I've been mulling over an iPad. You just nailed it for me.

Those mini pictures with microscopic animals hidden somewhere in them are a pain when you need reading glasses.

My kids told me I would do better with an iPad. It's very user friendly. The Droids are for those who like to mess around with the technology.

Probably true, which means Android would have been great for me about 5 years ago. Now, my job is mostly spreadsheets and presentations and I need stuff that just works. I have seriously been considering ditching the Dell Laptop and putting in for a MacBook just because of the battery life and the size.

Denada...
Used to swap all the cards, manage them back to camp, fire up the laptop on the inverter and check the pics.
Then you see the weird camera angle, branch moving in view, or other item to remediate and have to return...
All done in the field now!

my wife has galaxy's both tablet and phone and loves them. as i am an iPhone user i didn't want to go with an android, which was why there wasn't one in the running. i ended up with an iPad air. and i got a logitech keyboard/case for it. I'm on it now, its great. and it does all i need it to do. i appreciate the input. I just felt it's better than a potentially buggy and limited OS, RT. and having an iPhone it probably helps to have the same platform for both anyway.

i know it. I only hope I can keep my kids away from it. I think the only way would be to keep it in my backpack at all times. I will update if I decide to make a change. I bought it at best butane I can exchange it with no restocking fee until January 15th. But I doubt I will change the iPad. I may opt to switch out the keyboard for a backlit one.
