This has been going on for awhile as far as I know. I believe that the perpetrators should be punished with jail time and be forced to pay for the response in full. And then there is the whole "Call of Duty" angle. Why am I not surprised that one of these stupid games is not involved in this dangerous prank?

Yes, it is only a matter of time before a SWAT team arrives at the home of somebody who can and does defend their home against an invasion and people will be killed, perhaps on both sides. If and when that does happen the caller should be brought up on murder charges just the same as would happen in other crimes where innocent people die.

bluez,

Are you kidding? Or on something! There is nothing good about a SWAT Team being called out on a hoax regarding innocent citizens! Obviously you have never been there in any experience of this nature on either side. And to suggest that someone getting killed to reflect a point as a result is asinine! Those found guilty of committing such acts should be going to prison! It is no joke in my book! No washing vehicles or such liberal mambe pambe punishment! And if someone dies as a result Murder would be an appropriate charge!

any prank that could possibly lead to someone getting killed is rather stupid and those who committed the prank should be charged with murder.

no let me change that. not stupid, criminal.
