Yeah, I was headed in that direction from the start but then she ordered me to stop when the water was running. All I really need to finish is the float switch which is $40~$50 and some random wire and a flashing red light (I can get an LED one that will never burn out at the swap meet for a couple of bucks).

I would be installing it at a point next to the driveway where it cannot be missed when it lit up. This is where the wiring splits from going down the hill to the well and up the hill to the tank. I installed several wiring conduits and a few extra water lines in a ditch a few years ago to "clean things up". I figure PVC pipe is damned cheap and having a few runs sitting in the ground isn't going to hurt anything.

The monitor lights cannot be missed as one comes and goes from the house.

Gotta go to work now.
