I had an AD once....i went out shooting in the backyard with my .45 one afternoon while the wife was at work. I shot a couple mags, counting down as i fired. I was about to fire the last round when a buddy pulled into the driveway, why i didnt send it i dont know but i didnt. I talked to him abit and then went into the house to clean my pistol. I sat down on the couch, spread out a cleaning mat and opened up my cleaning kit. Like a fool i put my boogerhook on the bangswitch. The round went through the arn on the couch and into the exterior wall of the house. I sat the a minute thinking how damn stupid that was when it occured to me the wife's car was in the carport just beyond that wall. I jumped up a went outside and discovered the round had deflected into the concrete slab off a solid oak tabletop that was leaning against the wall. The battered slug was laying on the concrete floor.
That was 6 years ago.....i learned my lesson.

Dangos ski story reminded me, we went over to Pa. to a ski resort, I was a good skier but not a great one. My younger brother brings 2 girls along with him from college for the trip. Well no little 5' 100lb girl is gonna out ski me, or go down a hill I won't go down. What my brother failed to mention was that this while girl was small she had grown up in Colorado and had been skiing and figure skating since she could walk. She weighed 100 lbs and 40 of it was thigh muscle. I did keep up with her but couldn't move for the next 2 days.

I had just had my appendix removed and was tired of laying in bed. Decided I would do a little work around the house. In retrospect, it wasn't smart to be messing around in the attic while on pain killers. My other foot was damn near touching my chin. After asking if I was ok, my sweet wife was kind enough to grab the nearby camera and snap this photo before I could get my foot out. At least she asked if I was ok before taking the photo.

Oh, my goodness. That had to hurt after surgery. And.....aren't you only supposed to step on the beams and not the actual ceiling itself?
