That would not be difficult to do. 1/2 inch sheet rock and fiberglass insulation do not offer much resistance. If he got lucky (unlucky) and did not hit any wall studs, three apartments is about right.

Am I the only one questioning WHAT kind of "cleaning" he was doing with a loaded magazine, the slide forward, a round chambered and his finger on the trigger??!
Is this a new Glock Manual procedure that has missed my attention?
If I were the police, I would be more inclined to be checking the local listings and seeing if "Die Hard 2" or "The Rock" was on last night..... LOL
He's damn lucky almost no one was home and he didn't kill someone. Another fine example of the "classic" firearms owner that the Left can point too when they get the tough questions about private firearms ownership.
Way to go Thomas, you Tool!

I suspect the "I was cleaning my gun" excuse is way over-used as an attempt to cover up suicidal behavior and stupidity.

BINGO, you beat me to it, I was just thinking the same thing myself. I'm willing to put a case of good Scotch on the premise that the "accidental discharge while cleaning my gun" actually occurs in oh, about 1% of "accidental" discharges. And my guess is the cops know it --- they just can't prove it.

My ex-brother-in-law blew his brains out with a S&W Mod.29 in .44 mag back in 1982. He had just bought a farm in W.Virginia and was expecting a baby, which he didn't want. He had an argument with his wife and she stormed out of the house one hour before he killed himself , the last thing she told him was that he was gaining too much weight and eating too much ice cream. They found him in his bed with an empty 1/2 gallon of ice cream and his brains splattered all over the wall behind him. I guess he showed her! His family and the newspaper article claimed he was "cleaning his gun"...

RL that is hard on a family. Sorry to hear that.
I have a feeling that he (The guy in the article) was in Mall Ninja mode and doing tactical drills in the appartment and for some reason pulled the trigger. This guy is damn lucky that he didn't kill someone.

You right! Stupid is as stupid does! Many of us have had accidental discharges, I have, but only once!

I must also ask the obvious question. What was he doing cleaning a loaded firearm? It sounds like he watched an action movie and was trying to be cool and practice his quick draw, or trying to breach a room when it went off. He was probably too embarresed to tell them the truth so he made up a story about cleaning the gun.
