Default Statistical gun information

I have a ten page paper to get completed for a critical thinking class. It's a personal position paper that I'm doing on the second amendment and how the increased laws have not helped.
Anyone have super reliable website that show super cool stats and such???

The UK, Australia, and the city of Chicago all have extremely strict gun control, and the stats show that.

2011 Annual violent crime rate for UK - 120.73 crimes per every 10,000 people.

2010 Annual violent crime rate for Australia - 91.44 crimes per every 10,000 people.

2012 Annual violent crime rate for Chicago - 103.27 crimes per every 10,000 people.

2011 Annual violent crime rate for US - 38.60 crimes per every 10,000 people.

I will have to look up the sources where I got this for you later. I didn't think to write them down when I did this.

There's also this. (proof that more guns does not equal more death)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2012/12/14/schoo-shooting-how-do-u-s-gun-homicides-compare-with-the-rest-of-the-world/

And lets not forget about the good ol FBI.

You'll have to do a little digging, to get the actual sources, but this definetly gets your started)

I think we all feel it's pretty important to get factual info out there for all to see.

Good luck with the paper CJ, let us know how it goes...

What laws have "increased?" Where I live, the only changes in the last few years have made gun ownership, use and CCW easier. The last restrictive gun measures in Florida were Federal laws enacted during Reagan's presidency.

The web is eaten up with gun statistics, you can find stats to support any premise you desire. Google is a wonderful tool.

Regan? How nice of you to forget Clinton's AWB, the high capacity magazine ban, the federal background check laws, and the waiting periods. Don't want to blame one of your own?

You want list of antigun laws? Here you go.

1938-Federal Firearms Act
1968-Gun Control Act
1972-Creation of the ATF
1986- Law Enforcement Officers Protection Act
1986-Firearms Owners' Protection Act
1990-Crime Control Act
1994-Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act
1994- Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act
