Default SSH over the internet

SFTP open over the internet on SSH.

If you think this may be insecure PM me and I'll give you the details so you can try to break in to my server. I'm using public/private key authentication or so I think. Bitvise is the server.

/If you can get in I'll pay for a year of SM membership.

So far so good then I guess.

I'm trying to setup a server so that I can click 1 button and have a given device "sync" which in my setup means download my music library to it. So as I buy a new song or album I just need to click a button and next thing I know my newly purchased music is now copied to my phone/tablet whatever.

On my commute home I go through a deadspot so streaming music became annoying.

My home server is accessible via the internet, if someone can prove to me I have not secured it properly, thats worth something to me.

No one would care about my home Internet. Yours might be more valuable.

To be perfectly honest, your asking the wrong people. The majority of us don't know the first thing about hacking. There may be one or two here who know what your talking about, but I think you'd have better luck asking more tech savvy people who would likely know how to hack.

IIRC, he has a high security job.

I don't keep anything I can't afford to lose on my computer but you would be surprised at the annoyance of losing just your music and if someone can do something malicious they will.

I posted the same thing to another forum as well but to be honest I'm sure that some people can beat my security, I'm banking on "security through obscurity" which means, they can't mess with something they don't know exists.
