Default SS Colt .45.

Well I bought this gun for $400 in June but just got it today. Finally have it in my hands. Been sitting since 1984. Never fired. Took me 2 1/2 hours to clean and lube it up. Will get fired tomorrow as I'm going hiking and that is the way I shoot 95% of the time. Don't waste my time shooting paper at an indoor range. Did that once and would give up shooting if that all there was to guns and shooting them. BORING to the max.

I owned one back in 1990 time frame. Looked just like yours. I sold it two years later because of moving back to Germany. I regretted that decision even today. I can not find any Colt 1911s over here. We can special order a Taurus though. It took my friend six months to get his. It is not even close to the same quality. My Colt shot like a dream. I loved bowling with it and steel comps. Enjoy!!!
