Gees don't make fun of an addiction? And you are laughing at the 10 comandments . You know that little thing about, Thou Shalt not covet the neighbors wife. Unless she is a real babe.

LOL brings to mind nurses and doctors that are overweight and smokers, telling me and others to lose weight and to quit smoking (luckily I don't smoke).

My dad quit smoking after his heart surgeon told him, "If I do your bypass surgery and you don't quit smoking, you've wasted my time and your money", he quit that day cold turkey.

I was going to write up something elaborate to you. I'll just say congratulations and use your boy as your strength... :-D

Where are the rest of you quitters at? This thread isn't about just my smoking.

I challenge each and every one of you to knock out one bad habit a week. You can even pick it back up should you choose, but do a week without.

For my next trick...
Starting tomorrow, because Sunday seems to work for me, liquids.
Starting tomorrow, I will only be having one cup of coffee in the morning to help me get going (instead of a whole pot, 8-10 cups), it will be black (instead of heavily sugared and creamed), and after that one cup, water for the rest of the day.

I've always been a soda addict, even though I only drink diet sodas (yes I know they're still bad) I'm gonna try to knock those out for a week.

Some years back I was a Coco-Cola addict who drank ½ gallon of Coke every day. I did it for years. Then there came a time I started suffering from symptoms of arthritis, to the point I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning.
During a routine health check-up required by a new Health Insurer it was found my glucose was too high and the Doc suggested the Coke might be the problem. I quit cold turkey. Within a week, my arthritis symptoms completely disappeared. After a few weeks I 'back-slid' on the Coke and the arthritis came back. I quit permanently after that.

It's just a thought.
