that's pretty much spot on. the LAPD may be the root cause in what made him snap. but that in no way excuses his actions.
kind of like the old saying, two wrongs don't make a right.

Don't we teach our kids they are responsible for their own actions? Even if he lost his job thru corruption or racism none of what he has done is reasonable. If he does have evidence to support his claim then what is his reason for doing this. He hasn't even exhausted all his legal avenues to win a settlement or get his job back. This behavior is unacceptable no matter how you look at it.

i really don't think anyone thinks that. his actions are his own and he needs to be held accountable. but if he was fired over racism or corruption or trumped up charges, then the LAPD has got to be held accountable as well. i don't dispute the fact for one second what he's doing is totally wrong, but if the LAPD wronged him and those are the motivesfor his reasons, then they are just as complicit in this as he is.

People don't get driven to do these things. They choose their actions and they ALONE are responsible.
That said, I blame the LAPD for the many hours I wasted watching Dragnet episodes as a kid. The T.V. viewing no doubt made me gain weight and Jack Webb's show was anti-gun . If there had been no LAPD I'd be a thinner, better person having been free of Dragnet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( just kidding ) .

I notice Dorner holds a high government clearance and was found suitable to serve in the Navy and LAPD . So how well will universal background checks work ?
