Default Slingshots

Anyone use em?...

Tips, tricks?... What kind of ammo do you guys use?

Me and the roommate just dusted off the ol slingshot and ran a target course. It was a lot if fun. I'd like to bust done squirrels with it. Any hunting ammo suggestions?

Yeah, go low tech.

Use an old innertube from a bicycle. Cut a bunch of rubberbands.(@10)

Then get a forked branch from a fallen tree. Cut the innertube the long way

to make the elastic. They shoot bigger stones farther, puts marbles to shame...

Ah, you tickeled a synapse. Wrist Rocket (not Jr), was great with steel balls (about 1/4").
NO, I do not use a slingshot anymore. Might be fun to try again.

Just did a search and this is not our childhoot wrist rocket.

Looks like quite a few models now-a-days.

Paintballs make good practice ammo.

Use the slingshot like a bow. anchor the sling (where the ammo is held) in aproximately the same spot near your dominant eye every time you draw. Turn the fork sideways and aim between both sides of the fork. This will give you more consistent hits on target. Your sight picture should have your target between both vertical arms, only on a horizontal plane.

Other fun ammo. Ball bearings from old CV axles, lead round balls (.36 or smaller), hex nuts, etc. Use your imagination. Enjoy!
