Going to have to rethink that whole "allowing teachers to carry" thing...if this is the level of there thought process...I'm not sure I want them packing?

I think at that age the school officials are overreacting.

So....is everybody at Oklahoma State and Texas Tech threatening to shoot people? By that schools logic everybody at one of their football games is a dead person walking

Man I guess that time I took my fishing knife to junior high and those .357 rounds to high school many years ago wouldn't go over so well these days :D I got suspended back then, hell they probably would have locked me up and threw away the key if it was now.

That child was pure evil. I blame John Wayne movies and glorification of wild west tactics and the things that made this world what it is. Lets ban television and games and history books and, well, history itself. Yeah that's a good idea!

Even to a hard-core liberal, that is just plain goofy. Have we thrown common sense out the window?

When I was in Jr. High, we would bring our shotguns to school to go shoot doves aferwords. On the bus, and to the pricipals office, and it better not be loaded!!!! Our principal and one of my teachers were WWII vets, my favorite teacher was fresh from Korea. The women teachers would want to know if they could get a mess of doves......

I never knew anyone who was cut, stabbed or shot, at or after school.

In elementary schools Cowboys were our heroes, and as long as we didn't actually hang a fellow classmate, pretend gunplay was normal. We all wanted to be the good guys......

Whenever a teacher needed to open a box, she would borrow a pocket knife from one of the guys. We never carved on the school property or we would have gotten a serious asswhoopin. One that left marks! The asswhoopin would get a repeat performance at home if the folks found out.

Hmmmmm, and I turned out to be a Democrat........go figure. :)
