one way my stepmother use to cook shrimp was what she called cold boiled shrimp. she boiled in some type of spices, then drained it, packed in with ice until cold, then put it on a platter, served with her own homemade coctail sauce. first time i ate it, i was a little unsure if i would like it. now if i get started eating it, it's hard to stop!
after the boil, be it shrimp, crabs or crawfish. and a sack of oysters in the winter time...........should I feel sorry for dem yankees..............

I have questions for you shrimp experts....What is the difference between the frozen bait shrimp you can buy at the bait shop on the fishing piers...and the kind you eat...? Looks the same to me....And do you take the mud vein out, or eat it...?
