They should have put in a provision that outlawed all gun control. It would have made it through too.

Interesting. The way the WP article reads you'd think the NRA was being obstructionist about gun violence research. Quite frankly, I think this is stupid of them.

I'm not sure how doctors not being able to ask about guns in the home curbs research into gun violence. At a certain point, it is none of their business. Not anymore than the kind of car I drive. I respect that doctors do need a lot of information to do their jobs, but they don't get to weigh in on my lifestyle choices that aren't directly related to my health.

I'm no fan of the "Affordable Care Act", but I see no issue with this provision. However, Democrats should take note that the NRA was able to slip this in to Obama's baby. Good luck getting that gun control passed.
