That's not what I think of when I imagine armed aircraft though. I think of Cobras and Apaches.

Stinkin Marine pilots will tailgate a man when they're flying one of those.

I've seen most of the movie, but I think I missed that scene.

It's where they're hunting down the bad vietnam vet after he broke out of jail and made it to the woods. They have the whole sheriffs dept. After him and a heli. He is forced into a gorge and on a cliff. The heli sees him and the deputy has what looks like a scoped deer rifle. As he shoots from the heli sly knows his number is comming up. So he jumps from the cliff, into a big ole tree breaking tree limbs and his ribs. Then throws a rock, hits the heli and knocks deputy Art Gault out who falls to his death. I need a breath

Oh yeah, I remember know! Yeah, that was a cool scene. It was the jumping off the cliff and throwing the rock that reminded me.

So, would it be "rock crushes helicopter, helicopter blows paper, paper wraps rock"?

On the one hand you have potential invasion of privacy issues. Even street cameras come with those. Lord knows they could easily be aimed at and zoomed in to your bedroom window, "coincedentally" when you and the wife are fooling around. The drones could surely be used to spy on those who like to play around in the pool or backyard. The posibilities of misuse are endless.

On the other hand, How many crimes could be caught on tape or prevented by camers or drones? I'm fairly sure that a drone or camera sending a video feed of an aroused, naked man, chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher knife, would elicit a rapid response. If the woman was armed and shot her attacker, the footage would eliminate all doubt as to the fact that it was in self defense. Or what if YOUR child was snatched by some pervert, who intends to do god only knows what, and that same drone got a close up of his plate, face, and car before leading the police to where he is. Potential tragedy avoided, creep where he belongs.

LEOs can't be everywhere. Why are so many of us armed, if not for that reason. I agree that there need to be limits but, unmaned drones guiding the police in to prevent crimes would not be a bad thing. If the trade of is the wife and I can't fool around in the open in the back yard, I'll just go buy a tent!

I respect the opinions of all who post here, and only ask the same in return.
